This information applies to 10.3-10.3.8 servers. First you need to remove all your previous printer information and clear up the files left behind.

    1. Use Server Admin to stop all print queues.
    2. Delete all print queues using Server Admin.
    3. Open terminal and sign in as root.
    4. Delete the contents of /var/spool/PrintService/ There should be a directory for each print queue there. Delete the directories and any files they contain.
    5. Delete the contents of /var/spool/atprintd, if that directory exists.
    6. Delete the contents of /etc/cups/ppd/
    7. Delete the file /etc/cups/printers.conf
    8. Delete the file /etc/printcap
    9. Delete the files contained in /var/spool/cups but NOT the tmp directory
    10. Delete the contents of /var/spool/cups/tmp
    11. Reboot and repair permissions as a precaution.

Finish by adding your printers back using the Printer Setup Utility on the server. Do not add using the Server Admin tool. Once the printers have been added, finish the configuration using the Server admin tool.
